Position Overview
Montana State Hospital is seeking full‑time Psychiatric Technicians for variable shifts (days, evenings, nights). Psych Techs provide assistance and support to clientstter in a therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and account for patients.
- Provide care as directed by medical and nursing providers.
- Observe, report and document patient physical, emotional and behavioral status.
- Maintain and protect patients’ rights. λαδή Recognize and appropriately respond using therapeutic communication and de‑escalation techniques. ಂาค>

- Ability to use equipment necessary to perform routine care and procedures.
- Knowledge of health practices and methods for providing care.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a mental health psychiatric setting strongly preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with HIPAA policy.

Shift & Compensation
Employees are placed in a specified work shift of five (5) consecutive 8‑hour workdays followed by two consecutive days off. Shift differentials may be available. The position may be eligible for a hiring bonus up to $7,500.00. Base salary: $25.13 per hour.
