GENERAL NATURE OF WORK
Under direct supervision, performs assigned direct care activities, basic nursing procedures and training for consumers. Implements assigned parts of the individualized treatment plans. Assists consumers in learning daily living skills, participates in recreational and social activities and accompanies consumers to appointments and activities. Observes and documents consumer behavior.
QUALIFICATIONS- High school diploma or GED.
- Class C valid driver’s license.
- Any combination of training and experience that would have enabled acquisition of necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Six months of experience performing direct care activities, basic nursing procedures and/or training for persons with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, or substance use disorders.
- Pre‑employment physical examination.
- Fingerprint criminal records investigation.
- Pre‑employment drug testing and random alcohol/drug testing.
- Proof of registration with the Selective Services System for males aged 18–26, or proof of exemption.
- Official transcript from the college that granted your hours and/or degree (if applicable).
- Open to all qualified applicants.
