We’re seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team at Presbyterian Homes of Georgia - Quitman on an as needed basis (PRN). The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, and problem-solving skills. This position offers a competitive pay rate, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications, as well as the opportunity for advancement, employee recognition, and team collaboration.
EssentialDuties/Responsibilities
- Fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand
- Interprets physician medication orders
- Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals and related products for patient care by performing related duties
- Utilizes pharmaceutical equipment to include automated dispensing machines, Laminar Flow Hoods and compounding equipment.
- Represents the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner
- Maintains customer confidentiality at all times
- Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
- Exercises sound judgment in decision-making
- Interacts effectively with diverse individuals
- Maintains professionalism in all situations
- Uses time effectively and efficiently
- Current pharmacist licensure in the applicable state(s)
- Previous experience in Retail/ Hospital pharmacy or other applicable settings
