Life Enrichment/Recreation Assistant
NHC Rossville is looking for a Life Enrichment/Recreation Assistant to join our fun team and assist in providing therapeutic programs that meet each patient's individual needs while providing an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment. The applicant must have a desire to work with seniors, be compassionate, caring and creative. The ideal candidate must be energetic, creative, and have knowledge of the domains of wellness as it relates to programming in long term care.
The goal is to provide daily meaningful activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents.
32 Hours a Week
Responsibilities- Develop and implement a well‑rounded wellness program for Long Term Care, Memory Care or Rehab patients as assigned (including alternating weekend and holiday hours)
- Complete assessments, care plans and associated paperwork in a timely manner
- Ensure all local, state and federal guidelines regarding programming are met
- Bring the fun
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong communication and time management
- Team player ability to work with other departments to build staff morale
- Basic typing and computer skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Publisher for producing monthly calendars and newsletters, along with other external and internal marketing material
- Must be self‑motivated, creative with a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm
- Must be able to work with family members, partners, and the community
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
