Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Geriatric Care | Full-Time | No Weekends

Position Type: Permanent Placement (P-SLP)

Location: Miona Geriatric & Dementia Center & The Oaks (sites ~12 miles apart)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Hours: 30 hours/week

Start Date: ASAP

Job Summary

We’re seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized therapy services across two skilled nursing facilities focused on geriatric and dementia care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities—without weekend commitments.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
Provide dysphagia management and safe swallowing strategies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across both facilities
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies
Maintain accurate, compliant documentation

Requirements

Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
Prior experience in skilled nursing / geriatric setting REQUIRED
New graduates not accepted
Strong background in dementia care and dysphagia management
Ability to travel between facilities
