physical therapist duties/responsibilities:
- assesses the needs of residents with physical therapy needs and matches their needs with services available.
- meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress.
- reports progress to management and family members and meets with them on a regular basis to discuss.
- repeats evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines.
- keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills.
- hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' physical therapy needs.
- skill communicating verbally and in writing with residents and family members so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.
must be a graduate of an accredited program as a physical therapist assistant, have taken the npte exam or eligible to take it and have a state license to practice as one or eligible to apply for one.

successful candidate must have the 2-year associate’s degree as a physical therapist assistant, have taken and passed the npte exam or is eligible as a new graduate to take it and possess a professional license to practice in your state or is eligible to receive one.
