Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: Braselton, GA 30517
Position Type: 1+ Month Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 Hours/Week)
Position Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join our team in Braselton, GA. This is a temporary contract position providing 6-week FMLA coverage. The ideal candidate will have strong venipuncture skills, experience working with Pediatric and geriatric patients, and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced Patient Service Center (PSC) environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, and specimen collection following established procedures.
- Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Verify patient identification and demographic information before specimen collection.
- Obtain patient initials/signatures after venipuncture to confirm specimen labelling accuracy.
- Maintain accurate documentation and required records.
- Deliver excellent customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection as needed.
- Work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Support multiple Patient Service Center (PSC) and physician office locations as needed.
- Handle multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume environment.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Strong venipuncture and specimen processing skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic keyboard and data entry proficiency.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license if travel between locations is required.
- Flexibility to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, or overtime based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a Patient Service Center (PSC) environment.
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required only in CA, NV, and WA).
- Previous customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment.
