Location: Several roles are available Statewide in Georgia
Host Home Providers are independent contractors and not an employee of Developmental Disabilities Ministries (DDM, Inc.).
Host Home Providers open their homes to provide a loving, caring, safe family environment with 24/7 support to individuals.
The duties and responsibilities of being a Host Home Provider vary greatly based on the person’s individual needs and wants. A Host Home Provider is required to provide supervision and life skills building opportunities to the person(s) in their home. This may range from teaching and modeling budgeting, cooking and laundry skills to personal hygiene and adaptive behavioral skills, etc.

Responsibilities include providing supervision and life skills building opportunities to individuals in the home, which may include budgeting, cooking, laundry, personal hygiene, and adaptive behavioral skills as needed based on the person’s needs.
Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
To be considered to contract as a Host Home Provider requires that applicants must:
Have a genuine interest in supporting others and want to share their lives with the people in their home.
Possess communication skills to work well with others, such as family members, guardians, Program Managers, and other professionals involved in the person’s life.
Must complete the Host Home Provider intake packet (paper documents)
Must complete required background checks and motor vehicle record check.
Other people living in the home who are 18 years of age or older must also complete and pass required background checks and motor vehicle background checks.
Be honest, dependable, and caring with good judgment, understanding and patience.
Have a house or apartment, rented or owned, that can pass a safety inspection.
Provide references from former employers and personal acquaintances.
Provide documentation of completed training that will be assigned
Carry full insurance coverage on their automobile and home
Must attend a Host Home Provider applicant informational meeting
Screening Questions- Do you have experience in a similar role?
- Are you 21 years of age or older?
- Are you able to pass a criminal background check if hired?
- Can you provide the necessary documentation to prove that you are a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or a foreign national with authorization to work in the United States?
- Do you have any of the following on your driving record? Three (3) or more moving violations or at fault accidents (or a combination of the violations and accidents) within the preceding 36 months. Super speeder ticket. Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol (including Open Container). Hit and Run Accident. Failure to report an accident. Operating a vehicle under a suspended or revoked license.
Homicide, assault or a felony arising from the operation of a motor vehicle. Reckless Driving/Speed Contest/Racing Distracted Driving - Do you have valid Georgia Driver's License?
