JOB SUMMARY
Provides direct patient care and assists the surgical team during operative procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the operating room for surgery, including arranging equipment and sterile supplies.
- Assist the surgeon and surgical team by handing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Perform surgical site cleanup and prepare the patient for recovery.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligible.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist, preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
