Under the general direction of the Lead Technologist and Physicians, greets patients and is responsible for the set‑up and testing of out‑patient tests; cardiac holter monitors, EKG’s, and assisting with Cardiac Stress Testing. All duties must be carried out in accordance with regulatory federal, state, and local standards; and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Communicates with Physicians, patients and visitors while maintaining patient’s confidentiality.

• Education level equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school.
• Preference will be given to a student enrolled and progressing in an accredited college’s Respiratory Science program.
• Basic office skills, to include obtaining and documenting patient demographic information, vital signs and food/medication allergies.
• Must be familiar with medical terminology and cardiac/pulmonary testing procedures.
• Customer service, basic verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare provider certification required.

• Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk, and bend intermittently throughout the work day.
• Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable the applicant to adequately fulfill the requirements of this position.
• Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.
