• Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
• Establish rapport with donors to ensure their overall happiness while maintaining confidentiality.
• Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
• Monitor donor and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality.
• Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines.
• Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.

Work is performed in a plasma center. Exposure to biological fluids with potential infectious organisms; electrical office and laboratory equipment; extreme cold below 32°F in the plasma freezer. Personal protective equipment such as eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear is required. Work involves standing for 6–8 hours per day, bending and twisting the neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day, frequent hand movements, precise coordinated finger movements, occasional foot movement, light lifting up to 15 lbs (max 50 lbs), and reaching below shoulder height.

Hearing acuity, color perception, near and far vision requirements, and the ability to comprehend and follow instructions are essential.
