Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day activities of a staff team; monitor performance and address training or performance issues.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and support for training and professional growth of team members.
  • Perform colleague chair sides and conduct routine account activity quality audits to ensure appropriate work is performed.
  • Collaborate with leadership and training to develop training plans for building a best-practice team.
  • Assist internal business partners and respond to inquiries; prepare reports or logs as required.
  • Review work and act as a technical expert on denials and payer policies; maintain current knowledge of healthcare issues and regulations.
  • Identify and report trends and procedural problems to leadership as appropriate.
  • Maintain a professional and confidential approach at all times.
  • Analyze and resolve problems quickly, establishing realistic goals and priorities aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead daily huddles and weekly staff meetings to support process improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Back-fill all job openings, approve timecards, and manage PTO and payroll approvals as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in healthcare insurance billing and denials, working with government or commercial payers.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with quick turnaround and quality output.
  • Ability to facilitate and influence decisions by motivating others to achieve excellence in both work quality and teamwork.
  • Subject matter expertise in insurance reimbursement practices with the ability to translate knowledge into training and performance support.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with colleagues.
  • Proficiency in navigating Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge and experience in governmental, legal, and regulatory provisions related to billing and collection activity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS in business or related field.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience.
Compensation and Equal Opportunity

The salary range for this role is from $44,304 to $55,638. Specific compensation will vary based on geographic location, experience, certifications, and skills.
