As a Resident Care Provider (RCP) at Avery Village, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care and support to our residents.
You will assist with daily living activities, ensure a safe and comfortable environment, and foster a sense of community and belonging
among residents. Your dedication will help maintain the dignity, independence, and quality of life for each resident.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
− Personal Care Assistance:
Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming,
toileting, and mobility.
− Health Monitoring:
Observe residents’ physical and mental conditions, report changes to the clinical team, and document care
provided.
− Companionship:
Engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities, promoting socialization and emotional well-being.
− Housekeeping:
Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as making beds, tidying rooms, and ensuring cleanliness of resident areas.
− Meal Assistance:
Support residents during mealtimes, including feeding assistance when necessary, and monitor dietary restrictions
and preferences.
− Emergency Response:
Act swiftly and appropriately in emergency situations, following established protocols to ensure resident
safety.
− Documentation:
Accurately record resident care activities and observations in electronic medical records (EMR) or other required
documentation systems.
− Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with management, nursing staff, and other care providers to ensure holistic and continuous care
for residents.
− Additional Duties:
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Director of Clinical Services to ensure the
overall well-being and satisfaction of residents
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Understanding of state and federal regulations for assisted living.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
− Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents as needed.
− Ability to stand, walk, and engage in physical activity for extended periods.
− Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations.
