Sonographer (PRN Days)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team on a PRN basis, primarily working during daytime shifts. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound examinations on abdomen, vascular, OB/GYN and breast patients according to physician orders and clinical protocols
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Review and analyze images for clarity and accuracy, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation
  • Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment planning

Skills and

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or registration (e.g., ARDMS or CCI)
  • Proven experience performing ultrasound procedures, preferably in a hospital or outpatient setting
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to flexible scheduling
  • Attention to detail and technical proficiency with ultrasound equipment
