Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician ensures all transport vehicles are kept in safe working condition. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for completing various maintenance checks for the facility to ensure effective and safe facility operations.
- Assists in completing Daily Work Orders.
- Ensures transport buses are kept clean and organized.
- Checks morgue temperatures on a daily basis.
- Checks water temperature on a weekly basis.
- Checks ceiling tiles on a bi-weekly basis.
- Checks emergency exit lighting on a monthly basis.
- Checks fire extinguishers on a monthly basis.
- Checks smoke detectors on a monthly basis.
- Monitors filter changes on a monthly basis.
- Inspects laboratory emergency showers on a monthly basis.
- Cleans light fixtures on a quarterly basis.
- Completes and maintains recordkeeping.
- Performs other job-related duties as requested.
- Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
- Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
- Uses payroll/timekeeping system correctly.
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled. Wears identification while on duty.
- Actively participates and attends all relevant meetings, as appropriate.
- Completes tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Follows up as appropriate.
- Demonstrates the ability to deal with complex situations and problems involving several variables.
- Maintains a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with staff, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Communicates effectively with team members, patients, and other organizational contacts.
- Complies with all organization policies regarding ethical business practices.
- Completes annual education requirements and stays up to date on operational, technical, and clinical procedures.
- Maintains regulatory requirements, including all local, state, federal, and accredited body regulations.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.

Education/Qualification Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred but not required.
Experience: At least 1 year of previous experience in maintenance is preferred but not required.

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
