CT Technologist

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. They are valued clinical professionals collaborating within a care team, responsible for performing CT procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

• Perform CT exams per department guidelines, capturing diagnostic images with technical proficiency.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient identification before procedures.
• Communicate procedures clearly using AIDET, addressing patient questions and reducing anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout exams, including administering contrast and positioning patients correctly.
• Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat or adjust as needed, and document accurately in RIS/PACS systems.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and support department operations, including equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance.

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum one year of radiology experience.
• Certifications:
  
  ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association).
