Lead CT Technologist

Role Overview:

This position involves performing a variety of advanced CT imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining departmental operations. The technologist is responsible for setting up equipment, positioning patients, and executing protocols such as TAVR, Cardiac CTA, and Lung Screenings. They provide mentorship to colleagues, oversee departmental workflow, and support quality control and regulatory compliance.

• Perform diagnostic CT exams with independence, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure proper identification and labeling.
• Administer contrast media safely and respond to emergencies.
• Ensure high-quality imaging, review images for diagnostic acceptability, and post-process advanced protocols.
• Maintain equipment, monitor radiation doses, and report malfunctions.
• Collaborate with team members, support department efficiency, and participate in process improvements.
• Mentor and train fellow technologists, participate in hiring and competency validation.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff, explaining procedures compassionately.

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, including 1 year in CT.
• Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in patient positioning, radiation safety, and advanced CT protocols.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and in a team environment.

Valid BLS certification and compliance with all departmental and regulatory standards.
