Travel Medical Physicist | Radiation Oncology | Blairsville, GA
Job Type: Travel Contract |
13 Weeks, Possible Extension
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Hours:
40 Hours/Week
Weekly Pay: $5,300-$6,300/week, including stipends
Radius Requirement: Candidate must live 50+ miles from the facility
Position OverviewSeeking an experienced Travel Medical Physicist to support Radiation Oncology services at Northside Hospital Cancer Institute in Blairsville, GA. The Medical Physicist will provide clinical physics support, treatment planning and verification, radiation therapy QA, equipment safety, and radiation safety.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical Medical Physics support for Radiation Oncology services.
- Perform treatment planning, verification, and radiation therapy QA
. - Support safe and accurate radiation treatment delivery using Varian LINAC technology
. - Perform equipment quality assurance, calibration, and performance checks
. - Support radiation safety and regulatory compliance
. - Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and other oncology professionals.
- Help ensure treatment accuracy, equipment performance, and patient safety
.
- Master’s Degree in Medical Physics or related field
- 2+ years of recent Medical Physicist experience in Radiation Oncology/Medical Physics
- A Certified or A Eligible
- Active AHA BLS certification
- Recent hands-on experience with Varian linear accelerator (LINAC) technology
- Strong knowledge of radiation therapy physics, treatment planning, QA, and radiation safety
- Available for the complete 13-week contract
- Available for Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Must meet the 50+ mile candidate radius requirement
Qualified candidates should have strong clinical medical physics knowledge, radiation safety expertise, and hands-on Radiation Oncology experience.
