As an PH RN Nurse Supervisor within the Rabun County Health Department.

At the District Two, Georgia Department of Public Health you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. One of the fastest growing regions in the state, District 2 includes rural and urban communities with diverse public health challenges.

Under limited supervision, manages programs, staff, clinical services and fiscal processes of a local public health department. Identifies community partners, providers and agencies and develops relationships to further public health efforts in the community.

• Program and Clinical Leadership:
  Direct and coordinate county health department programs and clinical services to ensure compliance. Provide professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures.
• Staff Leadership and Development:
  Supervise nursing and additional staff as needed; establish performance expectations, provide coaching and feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support employee development, recruitment, retention, and separation processes.
• Community and Partner
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Build and maintain effective relationships with community partners and health department staff to coordinate outreach, home visits, off-site clinics, mentoring, and other public health services.
• Budget and Resource Management:
  Assist with developing and monitoring the health department budget and resources.
