Position: Operations Supervisor - Cottage Rentals (Full-Time)

Overview

The Cottage Rentals Operations Supervisor is responsible for the overall Front Office operations of the Cottages at Sea Island. Your primary role is to support Sea Island’s values, purpose, and culture related to the Team Member, Guest and Owner experience. The exceptional service provided at Sea Island should extend through the team members in each part of their employment with us.

Key areas of responsibility include: development of Cottages Concierge team, being an extension of reservation services, standardizing and implementing the pre‑arrival concierge, in‑house guest and future bookings of the guest experience, the delivery of an exceptional guest and Owner product, and delivering a memorable guest/Owner experience that exemplifies luxury and is consistent with the standards and values of Sea Island.

As a main point of Guest contact point, you will listen to guest, Owner and team members’ concerns, consult on courses of action, and make recommendations for improvement and resolution. Tasks include: working in conjunction with the Operations Manager of Cottage Rentals on implementation of new procedures, to include the pre‑arrival and in‑house guest experience, guest retention, maximizing revenue opportunities and responsibility for training Sea Island staff, working with all department managers to ensure Cottage Rentals standards are integrated with Sea Island’s procedures in accordance with service agreements and maintaining accurate inventory of all operating supplies & equipment within the destination.

Responsible for serving as the liaison between Front Office and other departments, to include housekeeping, engineering and Owner Services and Owner Relations, performing duties assigned to the position of Front Desk Clerk/Cashier, including all Cloister and Cottage Rentals guest registration from pre‑arrival to departure and record‑keeping duties, blocking rooms for housekeeping engineering on a regular basis due to room maintenance, handling guest and Owner escalations accordingly within the guidelines of Sea Island standards, acting to solve guest problems, coordinating necessary efforts through the appropriate departments and consistently following up with guests and Owners to ensure proper actions and responses have been received and are executed in a timely manner.

As a leader at Sea Island, you set the tone by consistently upholding and ensuring compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, and appearance. You follow and ensure all Sea Island and Cottage standards are consistently met. You maintain situational awareness of your surroundings, keeping an eye on all areas for tidiness and any general maintenance issues, ensuring that all are corrected or reported immediately.

You are generous with your support and help resolve any service issues that arise in a timely and positive way, following up as needed. You enthusiastically maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, amenities, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s ability and teach concierge the same.

You are proactive in providing assistance when needed and are willing to help with other areas or duties as requested.
