Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Outpost Supervisor for Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee, located in Suches, Georgia.
Job Purpose:To maximize customer satisfaction by providing neat and clean guest cabins through the supervision, direction, and coordination of the cabin keeper/cleaners. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.
- Supervises cabin keepers/cleaners in the prompt and efficient housekeeping of guest cabins
- Ensures that all cabins have been cleaned by checking cabin keepers' progress at the end of the day
- Supervises the completion of short notice requests for cabin changes
- Inspects all check out cabins after they are made up to ensure they are cleaned to Company standards.
- Monitors quality of cabins by conducting and documenting inspections of cleaned rooms
- Prepares maintenance work orders in regard to replacement or repair of furniture, fixtures, etc.
- Ensures completion by following through on orders
- Checks the status of cabins on an ongoing basis and notifies cabin cleaners of any changes
- Checks VIP cabins
- Checks early morning make-up cabins
- Coordinates cleaning of cabins for proper prioritization of customer requests; VIP cabins, checkout cabins, etc.
- Assures cleaning supplies are properly stored and vacuum cleaners are emptied at the end of each day
- Assists in monthly inventory of all linen and cleaning supplies
- Takes every opportunity to amaze the guests and has a strong ownership over ITR
- Ensures all guests are being treated in an efficient and courteous manner and that all Company standards are being applied
- Responsible for assisting with the recruiting, training, and direction of new department associates
- Ensure all Housekeeping quality standards are complied with and that policies and procedures are consistently applied.
- Coordinate activities with other departments in order to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction.
- Assist in the daily maintenance of room inventory status to achieve optimal levels of revenues while maintaining high levels of guest expectation.
- Attends meetings related to budgetary, and brand standards compliance of the property.
High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
This job requires the ability to perform the following:- Work tasks are completed in varying indoor and outdoor settings: must be able to work in all weather conditions as well as temperature controlled environments.
- Walking and standing are required for close to 100% of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
- Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the company on a timely basis.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs on a regular and continuing basis.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on occasion.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning/inspection tasks.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Being passionate about people and service.
- Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees.
- Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/ information updates, etc.
- Basic math skills are used frequently when handling guest payments and assisting with inventory.
- Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or major holidays. Availability is needed from 7am to 11pm.
