** POSITION PROFILE
** Process soiled linen and distribute clean linen in accordance with standard operating procedures in  a safe, accident-free manner, as assigned by management.
** ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES
*** Receive, sort and weigh soiled linen; place into appropriate containers.
* Process sorted linen utilizing the washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeder/folders ensuring finished- product is inspected and meets quality standards.
* Turn in all articles found in Laundry Chute/Department to the Supervisor to log in Lost and Found.
* Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints as they may arise to achieve guest satisfaction.
* Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment, or mechanical problems to the Supervisor.
* Notify supervisor of supplies needed, damaged linens or hazards to the department to ensure laundry operation is running at maximum efficiency level.
* Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
* Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
* Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
** REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
*** Some High school diploma or equivalent experience
* No formal experience required for the position
* Ability to recognize and work with numbers.
* Operate industrial laundry equipment.
* Communicate information, respond to question, and provide directions and hotel services to guests, vendors, staff member and management.
