Position: Rooms Inventory Specialist - Cloister Guest Services (Full Time)
Location: Sea Island

As a Rooms Inventory Specialist, you are the strategic mind behind every guest's arrival, ensuring rooms are perfectly matched to each guest's needs before they ever check in. You have a sharp eye for detail and a natural talent for balancing competing priorities without missing a beat. You think several moves ahead, spotting opportunities to upgrade a stay or resolve a scheduling conflict before it ever becomes a problem.

You are comfortable working across systems and departments, translating shifting information into a clear plan for the day ahead. You communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues across departments, and you take real pride in finding the right room for the right guest every time. You bring calm, steady judgment to a fast-moving, detail-driven role.

You assign rooms with special attention to VIPs, group attendees, and special requests, while maximizing daily inventory to support sell-through and up-selling opportunities. You coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, and the Front Desk team to ensure rooms are ready, blocked, or released as needed, and you serve as the primary point of contact for group planners on all rooming needs from planning through arrival.

You stay closely involved through every stage of a group's visit, from early planning conversations and site visits through preconference meetings and arrival turnover. You review upcoming resumes, communicate updates to the Front Office team, and act as a resource and coach to guest service agents, helping the broader team stay ahead of what each day will bring. Every room thoughtfully assigned and every detail carefully coordinated helps ensure a seamless arrival experience and a stronger, more informed Front Office team.

You respond to guest requests and follow through to assure satisfactory outcomes and compliance. You set the tone by consistently upholding and ensuring compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, and appearance. You follow and ensure all Sea Island safety protocols are consistently met through situational awareness of your surroundings. You enthusiastically maintain your knowledge of Sea Island’s properties, services, and offerings, and share this information with guests and members.

You are proactive in helping when needed and are willing to help with other areas or duties as requested. You form effective relationships and work closely with resort departments to maintain rapport and foster open communication. You maintain a thorough knowledge of current services, amenities, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area.

When needed or requested by leadership, you act to promptly resolve concerns, coordinating necessary efforts through the appropriate departments and consistently follow-up to ensure resolution.
