Human Resources Assistant

Job Summary:

Lake Winnepesaukah Amusements, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and approachable Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations in a fast-paced, seasonal amusement park environment. This role plays a key part in assisting with employee onboarding, recordkeeping, recruitment support, and general HR administrative duties, while helping foster a positive and compliant workplace culture.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files.
  • Support employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating employee training sessions and development programs.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide general HR information.
  • Help with HR-related projects and initiatives as needed.
Education & Experience:
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Human Resources Certifications (SHRM, aPHR, and/or PHR) is preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience in an administrative or HR support role is an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
  • Office-based role with frequent interaction with employees and management.
  • May require occasional walking throughout park grounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
  • Flexible scheduling may be required during peak operating seasons.
