Job Description
House of Raeford Farms is seeking a bilingual Haitian Creole Interpreter to support communication between management and our Haitian workforce. This position will assist with translating verbal and written communications, supporting employee relations efforts, assisting with training and orientation, and helping employees understand company policies, benefits, and workplace expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Interpret conversations between English‑speaking managers and Haitian Creole‑speaking employees.
- Assist Human Resources with employee meetings, investigations, coaching sessions, and workplace concerns.
- Translate company communications, notices, policies, forms, and training materials.
- Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
- Support open enrollment, benefits communication, and employee education programs.
- Assist supervisors with communicating safety expectations and operational updates.
- Help employees understand company policies, procedures, attendance expectations, and workplace programs.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding employee and company information.
- Build positive working relationships with employees and management.
- Fluent in both Haitian Creole and English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret accurately and professionally.
- Previous experience in interpretation, translation, human resources, manufacturing, education, healthcare, or community services preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict‑resolution skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with Haitian communities.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Human Resources or employee relations experience.
- Translation certification or interpreter training.
- Ability to walk throughout a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to stand for extended periods as needed.
- Ability to attend meetings in office and production environments.
