- Serve as the technical lead and product architect for Service Now-based solutions
- Be responsible for all aspects of application architecture including data models, integrations, automation, security, and platform configuration
- Maintain a sound understanding of enterprise- and program-level architecture
- Liaise with Business Analysts to understand business needs and design solutions that meet those needs while complying with architectural standards
- Present and evangelize solutions to architecture guilds and management
- Work with Business Analysts and Scrum Masters to create implementation plans by developing epics and user stories
- Lead technical aspects of Agile ceremonies, including platform demonstrations to Product Owners and stakeholders
- Guide team members in breaking stories into tasks and completing work efficiently
- Mentor developers and testers, fostering a collaborative environment where questions and concerns are encouraged
- Keep current with Service Now platform capabilities and industry trends
- Delegate technical tasks and ensure sprint and release objectives are met
- Perform and participate in architecture design and reviews , ensuring alignment with future-state goals
- Identify architectural risks, opportunities, compliance issues, and technical debt
- Participate in sprint planning, testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases
- Review cybersecurity assessments and static code analysis results and define remediation actions
You have:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include but are not limited to:
- - 3 year check for felony convictions
- - 1 year check for illegal drug use
- - 1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related technical discipline.
- 7+ years’ experience related to the role.
- Professional experience operating within cross-functional teams and groups.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in incremental software development projects such as the Agile Scrum approach
- Available to work a hybrid remote schedule in Ashburn, VA.
You are good at:
- Delivering custom and scoped applications on the Service Now platform
- Service Now application design, configuration, and scripting
- Data modeling, access controls, and platform security considerations
- Designing and supporting integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Servers
- Guiding Agile teams through technical decision-making and issue resolution
- Anticipating architectural challenges and implementing practical solutions
- Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborating with developers, program managers, testers, and operations teams to deliver solutions iteratively and efficiently
Bonus would be having:
- Contributing to program-level architecture and platform standards
- Familiarity with Service Now Automated Test Framework (ATF)
- Experience designing, developing, and delivering multiple Service Now scoped applications
