Responsibilities:

  • Leads and coordinates business analysis activities in complex, multi-system or strategic initiatives.
  • Acts as primary business analysis contact for key stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business objectives and IT solutions.
  • Cooperates closely with Business stakeholders, Super Users, Process Architects, Application Architects, Developers, System Analysts, Senior Domain Experts, Client Managers, and IT Operations.
  • Collects, reconciles, structures, and validates business requirements; ensures traceability from business needs through implementation.
  • Oversees and contributes to Functional Specification preparation and ensures consistency and quality of deliverables.
  • Models as-is and to-be business processes, system interactions, and data flows across domains.
  • Defines and governs master data management concepts.
  • Supports scope definition, effort estimation, dependency identification, and impact analysis.
  • Coordinates and supervises testing activities with strong focus on UAT strategy, test scenario design, execution oversight, defect management, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensures quality and consistency of training materials; supports or oversees end-user training activities.
  • Coordinates handover to Business and IT Operations and contributes to service catalogue updates.
  • Supports initiative-level and portfolio-level decision-making by preparing decision-supporting materials and recommendations.
  • Proactively identifies risks, issues, and dependencies; escalates and drives resolution to minimize business or delivery impact.
  • Ensures business process documentation and system documentation remain up to date.
  • Builds and maintains deep knowledge of solutions, industry trends, and best practices; actively shares knowledge within the organization.
  • Participates in supplier evaluation and may lead or coordinate work groups related to solution introduction or development.
  • Carries out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager, in line with role scope and organizational needs.
  • Development and Team Support tasks:
    Acts as a lead expert and mentor for Business Analysts within the domain, Provides methodological guidance, quality feedback, and professional support to analysts working on related initiatives, Supports the Unit Leader and Team Leaders with domain-specific functional and analytical expertise, Contributes to the continuous improvement of business analysis standards, templates, and ways of working, Optional: may coordinate or functionally lead a small group of analysts on a temporary or initiative basis (no formal people management obligation).

Requirement:

  • BSC or MSC degree IT, Engineering or Economics
  • Min. 8+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience in large-scale or cross-domain IT initiatives
  • Experience in coordinating analysis activities across multiple stakeholders and systems
  • Advanced business analysis techniques (process modelling, requirements management, impact analysis)
  • Strategic thinking, Structured thinking and analytical skills
  • Risk, issue and impact management, Project and service quality assurance
  • Client and solution orientation, Strategic and proactive mindset with attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills
  • Self-dependence, results orientation, effective time and task management.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technical knowledge and skills
  • Ready to travel for limited periods according to project assignments within MOL Group
  • Customer focus and proactive personality
  • Driving License (B category)
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills both in Hungarian and in English
