Technology Support Paraprofessional
The Technology Support Paraprofessional is responsible for monitoring and supporting computer software and systems. Their day to day responsibilities will include resetting staff and student passwords, diagnosing software login issues and solving technical and application problems. The Technology Support Paraprofessional will oversee daily operations and inventory maintenance.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Operates under direct supervision to assist with entry-level technology support tasks and escalate advanced technical problems to higher-level staff.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students, staff, and faculty of one school seeking assistance for technology issues
- Maintain, track, and inventory technology equipment
- Monitor Help Desk tickets and resolve user issues
- Track damage and repair status of district-owned devices
- Assign district devices and resources to new users
- Provide basic training, technical support, and operational assistance to all end users on various digital resources, devices, and peripherals
- Provide minor troubleshooting for student and educator devices
- Provide online testing support for schools
- Attend regularly scheduled system technology meetings and trainings as required
- Performs other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the Technology Department
Minimum qualifications include:
- 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work collaboratively in a support role within a school setting
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience providing technical assistance for hardware, software, or digital tools
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and user needs
Employment terms include:
Annual salary based on years of experience in a similar role. Annual salary range: $22,614 - $31,303 ($14.87 - $20.59 per hour).
Work is performed primarily in a standard in-person school setting. Requires occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 50 lbs. Requires proficiency in using district technology, including communication platforms, data management systems, and learning management systems. Standard work hours align with the school day and district office hours, but may require attendance at evening or weekend meetings, school events, or professional development sessions.
Must be flexible and adaptable to varying schedules and demands across the district.
