Job Purpose
The Compliance Analyst will support the Compliance function in monitoring activities, transparency reporting, and the effective use of technology and vendor solutions designed to enhance compliance oversight. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure compliance data is accurate, processes are efficient, and available technology capabilities are fully leveraged. The Compliance Analyst will have primary responsibility for day-to-day activities related to compliance monitoring and transparency reporting, with opportunities to support and develop capabilities in compliance training and policy.
This position is well suited for an early-career compliance professional who is analytical, detail-oriented, technology-minded, and interested in developing expertise within the biopharmaceutical compliance environment. This position will report into the Senior Manager, Compliance.
Support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing use of compliance monitoring technologies and related vendor solutions. Partner with Compliance, business stakeholders, IT/Data, and external vendors to understand monitoring requirements and translate them into effective technology-enabled processes. Monitor system performance and outputs to identify trends, anomalies, data quality issues, and opportunities for process improvement. Help maximize the full capabilities of vendor platforms by identifying and implementing functionality that can improve monitoring, reporting, automation, data analysis, and compliance oversight.
Develop and maintain monitoring processes, documentation, procedures, and reporting. Assist with investigating monitoring results and escalating potential compliance concerns to appropriate Compliance personnel. Support periodic assessments of monitoring methodologies and recommend enhancements based on business needs, regulatory expectations, and available technology capabilities. Maintain effective working relationships with technology vendors and ensure deliverables meet established compliance requirements and expectations.
Support the accurate, timely, and complete collection, review, validation, and reporting of transparency data. Partner with relevant business functions and external vendors to resolve data discrepancies and ensure data integrity. Perform data quality checks and reconciliation activities to identify and resolve errors or inconsistencies. Support reporting processes and preparation for applicable transparency reporting requirements. Maintain appropriate documentation, controls, and audit trails supporting transparency reporting activities.
Identify opportunities to automate or streamline transparency processes while maintaining appropriate compliance controls. Monitor changes in applicable transparency reporting requirements and support updates to processes and systems as needed.
Support the development, maintenance, and administration of Compliance training materials and related communications. Assist with tracking training completion and identifying opportunities to improve training effectiveness and user experience. Support the review and maintenance of Compliance policies, procedures, and guidance documents. Help communicate policy and process updates to relevant stakeholders. Assist with identifying areas where additional training, guidance, or policy clarification may be beneficial.
