Senior Property Field Adjuster (Covington, GA)

You will work in the field and report to the Property Claim Manager, handling homeowner property field claims in the Conyers or Covington, Georgia territory. You must be located within these areas. A company fleet vehicle is provided with the position, and it can also be used for personal purposes. Position compensation range: $69,000.00 – $. Pay rate type: salary. Compensation may vary based on job level and geographic work location.

Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

• Investigate origin and cause of claims by contacting appropriate parties including insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, special investigation units, other adjusters, public personnel, etc.
• Identify complex issues and seek assistance as needed.
• Handle claims on a good‑faith basis.
• Handle both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and numerous endorsements.
• Conduct on‑site inspections when needed, evaluate damages, and negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters.
• Respond to customer inquiries, make appropriate decisions, and close files as needed.
• Interpret and determine policies, leases, by‑laws, declarations, articles, and contract coverages and apply them to all parties for assigned losses.
• Make independent decisions, self‑supervise most files, and recognize when assistance is necessary.
• Proactively provide all parties with claim process and status updates; answer questions or redirect to other departments.
• Serve as a mentor and subject‑matter expert for less experienced adjusters.
• May be required to complete other assignments, job duties, or participate in projects based upon skills, achievements, or experience.

• Demonstrated experience providing customer‑driven solutions, support, or service.
• Demonstrated experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi‑line claims.
• Demonstrated experience handling simple to moderately complex claims.
• Extensive knowledge of policies and endorsements.
• Extensive knowledge of each phase of the claim‑handling process.

• Valid driver’s license required with an acceptable driving record.
• Obtain state‑specific property casualty claims licensing as required.

• Up to 50% travel.
• Catastrophe travel up to 75% as applicable.

• Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and similar structures.
• Work may require presence at customer homes, body shops, or other locations with higher hazards than a typical office.
• Move oneself in various positions to complete tasks in tight and confined spaces.
• Move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
• Work in low temperatures, high temperatures, and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
• Work in noisy environments and hazardous conditions with poor ventilation.
• Work in small and/or enclosed spaces.
