Supports underwriters in the evaluation, analysis, and preparation of insurance submissions by gathering data, conducting preliminary risk assessments, and ensuring accurate documentation. Assists in decision-making with moderate supervision and contributes to maintaining operational efficiency within the underwriting function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Collect and review underwriting data from brokers, agents, and internal systems.
- Perform preliminary risk analysis using established guidelines and rating tools.
- Prepare proposal summaries and coverage comparisons for underwriter review.
- Assist with policy issuance by validating data accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor and track submission status ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding information.
- Maintain organized records and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Insurance, Business, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in insurance, underwriting support, or a relevant analytical role.
- Exposure to property and casualty insurance industry preferred.
- No specific criteria is required.
- Analytical Thinking – Ability to interpret data and identify risk patterns.
- Attention to Detail – Ensure accuracy in documentation and calculations.
- Communication Skills – Clear and professional interaction with stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency – Familiarity with underwriting systems and MS Office tools.
- Time Management – Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
