Duties
* Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
* Reviews, interprets, and provides written legal opinions on highly complex civil laws, regulations, directives, instructions, and duties as they relate to problems of compliance by Robins AFB. Serves as legal advisor to the Installation Commander and the 78 Air Base Wing Commander, and assists them in their responsibility of developing and implementing base-wide policies and programs designed in the interest of military and civilians working at the installation.
* Responsible for Standards of Conduct/Ethics Program and serves as Deputy Standards of Conduct Counselor for the base. Advises management officials, commanders, staff and employees regarding ethics issues as applied to their subordinates and themselves.
* Incumbent must ensure that various sections within Civil Law Division (Legal Assistance and Expanded Legal Assistance, and Standards of Conduct Program) are providing professional and experienced representation and services to the respective clients.
* Provides advice and guidance to eligible legal assistance clients regarding personal civil matters, including acting as lead counsel and representing eligible clients under the Expanded Legal Assistance Program (ELAP). Requirements Conditions of employment

* Selectee is expected to be granted with and/or maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the position.
* Selectee may be required to serve a probationary period or trial period.
* Attorney appointments are subject to serve a one-year probationary period.
* Candidates are not required to have active duty service or veterans' preference to be referred and considered. All qualified candidates who meet the recruitment assessment criteria will be referred to the selecting official.
* Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement.
* This is a Centrally Managed position under the Legal Career Field. PCS expenses, if authorized, will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations.
* Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
* Incumbent is required to travel on temporary duty to meet with clients and other individuals, and to attend hearings, trials, conferences and seminars.
* Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY) by military commercial aircraft approximately 10 days per year.
* This position provides legal services in support of the Air Logistics Complex, the 78th Air Base Wing, a significant number of hosted units, and a smaller number of geographically separated organizations.
* The breadth of subject matter covered by "Civil Law" requires and incumbent with a significant level of experience in multiple disciplines.
* Because of the complex and frequently novel nature of this work and its potential impact to national and international security interests, it is essential that the incumbent of this position (con't) * (con't) be a highly competent and capable supervising attorney with specialized experience in the wide-array of Civil Law Matters.
* This is a Supervisory Position. A 1-year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement. Qualifications GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
* You MUST have successfully completed a full course of study in a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and have the first professional law degree (LLB or JD).
* In addition, at the time of application, you must provide proof, dated within four months of application, of "active" status with a bar of the highest court of a State, U.S. commonwealth, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia. On-line information is allowed as long as it shows that you are in "active" status. Basic Qualification Requirement:
