Shipping Coordinator; Madison, GA

Georgia‑Pacific is hiring a Shipping Coordinator in Madison, GA. The Shipping Coordinator ensures product is loaded and shipped on time and directs shift team members on load priorities while coordinating with transportation providers.

Position: 1st Shift (Monday‑Friday, occasional Saturday), 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (on‑site at Madison plywood facility). Minimum starting pay: $21.00 per hour.

• Provide customer service to truck drivers, giving necessary paperwork and parking instructions.
• Direct team members on loading priorities.
• Collaborate with customer service, sales and leadership on customer priorities.
• Communicate via email with team members and customers.
• Produce BOLs (bill of lading).
• Monitor production line ups for orders ready to ship.
• Manage raw material paperwork and assist with month‑end inventory counts and reporting.
• Demonstrate leadership, be a self‑starter, require little supervision and train others.
• Assist team members throughout the mill as needed.
• Work first and last day of each month for inventory (including weekends and holidays).

• Minimum 2 years in a shipping coordinator role.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience manually entering high‑volume numerical data into computer systems at a fast pace.

• Minimum 2 years in a shipping coordinator role in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in warehousing, transportation or inventory control.
• Experience with ERP operating system.
• Experience in accounting.
