Procurement Category Manager

Clorox is looking for a Procurement Category Manager responsible for sourcing of external (contract) manufacturing services for various Clorox businesses.

• Strategy development, sourcing, forecasting, negotiation, contracting, supplier management, and leadership of cross functional teams
• Global sourcing projects – responsible for sourcing strategies of existing and new products as well as support of new product initiatives and launches
• Plan and lead sourcing initiatives for the contracting of goods and/or services from US and international suppliers, including investigation of the global marketplace, use of eRFx tools, and development, negotiation and management of supply contracts
• Global Category Strategies ownership: development, implementation, oversight, and updating of strategies and stakeholders/business partners
• Proactively evaluate business opportunities to maximize cost savings and match supplier capabilities with business partner needs, managing supplier relationships
• Interact with internal senior management and external personnel on issues requiring coordination between organizations, including resolving systemic supplier issues and assessing supplier capabilities
• Actively manage supply chain to ensure continuity of supply and drive a sustainable cost advantage
• Global spend responsibility: USD $75M – $125M

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 7 years of supply chain or related industry experience
• 5 years of experience in sourcing related activities
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with rotating equipment and elevated surfaces
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification required at hire; no visa sponsorship available

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science or related field of study
• MBA
• 10 years of supply chain or related industry experience
• 7 years of experience in sourcing related activities
• CPG industry and international experience
• Experience working with external (contract) manufacturing
• Proven record of developing and implementing category strategies
• Proven record of leading cross functional teams and driving consensus
• Experience with e-sourcing tools and SAP (other ERP systems welcome)
• Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams through defined processes
• Ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Initiative and self‑starter attitude with high performance standards
• Collaboration and responsiveness, valuing diversity of thought

• Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally

• Salary ranges based on geographic zone:
  • Zone A: $106,700 – $204,900
  • Zone B: $97,800 – $187,900
  • Zone C: $88,900 – $170,800
