Role DescriptionThe Assistant Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Jasper, GA, supporting the planning and execution of commercial interior manufacturing projects. This position assists in coordinating schedules, materials, and workflows to ensure projects stay on time and within scope. Daily responsibilities include tracking order status, monitoring production progress, communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and helping resolve issues that may affect timelines or quality.
The Assistant Project Manager also supports inspections of materials and finished products, helps maintain project documentation, and contributes to continuous improvement of processes and logistics.
- Experience with expediting activities and working as an expeditor to move orders and tasks efficiently through production and delivery.
- Foundational project management skills, including planning, tracking milestones, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of inspection processes and quality checks to ensure materials and finished products meet specifications and standards.
- Understanding of logistics management, including scheduling shipments, coordinating with carriers, and managing inventory flows.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with production staff, vendors, and customers.
- Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, project tracking tools) and comfort learning new systems.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or building materials environments is preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
