Shipping Manager

Contract Lumber, a leading building materials supplier, is seeking a Shipping Manager to lead daily outbound operations at our Georgia facility. You will oversee order staging, loading, routing, and carrier coordination to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries for homebuilders and contractors. Responsibilities include supervising shipping staff, monitoring inventory and paperwork accuracy, enforcing safety standards, and optimizing yard and dock flow. Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and outbound logistics operations for building materials orders
• Supervise, schedule, and train shipping and yard staff to meet service and safety goals
• Coordinate carriers, routes, and loading to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries
• Monitor order accuracy, documentation, and inventory movements in shipping areas
• Enforce safety policies and proper use of material handling equipment
• Optimize dock, yard, and staging layouts for efficient product flow
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and dispatch to resolve delivery issues
• Track key shipping metrics and recommend process improvements
