This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.

The Senior Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement of subcontracted materials and services, ensuring purchase orders, drawings, and specifications provide suppliers with the information necessary to accurately quote, manufacture, and deliver products. This role serves as the primary liaison with suppliers, coordinating all aspects of purchased materials and services while also supporting the procurement of non-subcontracted items as needed. The Senior Buyer ensures suppliers are properly qualified and approved, including facilitating the onboarding of new suppliers in accordance with company requirements.

They are responsible for securing the right products and services in the correct quantities, within schedule, and to all quality and technical specifications. Additionally, the Senior Buyer drives cost-reduction initiatives to achieve departmental PPV goals and supports the development of long-term agreements, SLAs, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs to improve supplier performance and supply chain efficiency.
