Primary Supplier Liaison (PSL)
We are searching for the best talent for Primary Supplier Liaison (PSL), located in Athens, Georgia or Cornelia, Georgia.
Purpose:
The Primary Supplier Liaison (PSL) is responsible for managing the business aspects of assigned suppliers and serving as the primary point of interaction between the Operating Company and external suppliers. This role ensures effective supplier lifecycle management, including supplier selection, onboarding, performance monitoring, change management, and disengagement. The PSL partners with Quality, Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain to ensure compliance with Johnson & Johnson procedures and regulatory requirements.
You will be responsible for:
- Acting as the primary business owner and point of contact for assigned suppliers.
- Leading and supporting supplier sourcing and selection activities.
- Updating Approved Supplier List (ASL) data and initiating required changes.
- Supporting supplier communication, negotiation, audits, and escalation activities.
- Leading and supporting supplier change control processes and alignment documentation.
- Providing purchasing inactivity data and supporting supplier lifecycle monitoring.
- Supporting supplier performance management, issue triage, and corrective actions.
- Participating in and supporting supplier risk assessments and mitigation activities.
- Leading supplier disengagement, disqualification, and phase-out activities.
- Performing other Quality Engineering responsibilities, as directed by management.
- Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
- Following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices, as applicable.
- Ensuring personal and Company compliance with all federal, state, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Science, Engineering or a related concentration.
- 2 years of experience in Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Procurement.
- Strong communication and supplier relationship management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of supplier lifecycle management and Approved Supplier List (ASL) processes.
- Understanding of regulatory and GxP requirements.
- Experience supporting supplier performance management, issue triage, and corrective actions.
- Experience supporting supplier change control and risk assessment activities.
Other:
- This position supports Athens, Georgia and Cornelia, Georgia.
- Limited travel of up to 10%.
- No direct supervisory responsibility is required for this role.
