Folkston Park Care and Rehab is hiring a Maintenance Director to work at the facility providing both short‑term rehabilitation and long‑term care.

The Maintenance Manager assumes administrative authority, responsibility and accountability to maintain the facility’s physical plant and essential mechanical, electrical, and resident‑care equipment in safe operating condition. They inventory and order maintenance supplies, maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, prepare vacant rooms for new residents, and respond promptly to all repair needs. In collaboration with the Nursing Home Administrator, they allocate resources efficiently and economically to provide services and continuously improve quality.

• Maintain the facility, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties and other necessary duties to provide residents with a quality move‑in experience.
• Respond to resident requests in a timely manner and professionally.
• Use knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, general carpentry, painting, sheetrock, etc.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, utilizing the TELs program.
• Understand state, local, and federal nursing‑home regulations.
• Attend and participate in required training programs.
• Lead in‑service training for staff, including MSDS program, OSHA rules, and safety programs.
• Run an effective safety program with monthly safety meetings.
• Participate in meetings such as Morning Meetings and QAPI.
• Perform duties assigned in a timely manner.
• Deliver superior customer service and represent the company professionally.
• Maintain and safeguard all company tools and equipment.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
• Ensure residence and grounds are in good repair and provide a safe, attractive environment for residents.
• Carry out preventative maintenance program and make regular rounds identifying repairs.
• Check daily for any requests for repairs.
• Respond promptly to all repair requests from residents, families, and staff.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for special events.
• Ensure all systems (alarm, fire) are tested per state, local, and federal guidelines.
• Secure subcontractors, oversee performance, and provide assistance when needed.

• Minimum of one year general maintenance experience.
• Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Desire to work with older adults.
• Basic knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds keeping, commercial appliance repair, multimeter use, standard practices and a variety of hand and power tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities.
• Personal initiative and willingness to be supervised.
• Personal neatness, dependability, honesty, congeniality, and flexibility.
