** Description
* * The position of Special Projects Construction Manager is a regular full-time, exempt managerial role that is responsible for overseeing daily field operations for specialized utility and telecom projects. This position will lead multiple crews and subcontractors, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure projects are completed on time, to spec, and within Company and customer expectations. This position has multiple direct reports, works out of the Statham, Georgia office and reports directly to Director of Operations.
This position works a schedule of 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position will have frequent travel around the state of Georgia to conduct field-based inspections at various job sites and meet with current & prospective customers. As a condition of employment, this position may be required to work extended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as operational business needs require along with overnight travel to other job sites.

** Responsibilities
* *** Project Execution & Field Oversight:
*** Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to customer specifications.
* Manage aerial and underground utility construction in line with plans, safety rules, and schedules.
* Coordinate with the Project Manager on scheduling, resources, progress tracking and both project changes & scope adjustments.
* Conduct site inspections for quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
** People & Culture:
*** Provide leadership and direction to aerial and underground utility crews and subcontractors, providing direction, training, and performance oversight.
* Promote a culture of Safety First and ensure adherence to Company, customer, local, state, and federal safety regulations.
* Develop, mentor, and evaluate direct reports to ensure workforce readiness and professional growth.
* This leadership role is expected to champion and support all Company policies, procedures, and Values, while holding employees accountable to them.
** Client & Stakeholder Management:
*** As directed, attend all client and stakeholder project meetings and provide status updates.
* Foster professional communication with customers, project managers, and internal leadership regarding status, risks, and project needs
* Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and local officials, maintaining professional communication and resolving escalated issues.
** Communication & Reporting:
*** Proactively request materials, equipment, and support services as needed.
* Maintain daily reports, crew time approvals, bore logs, photos, and progress reports & performance metrics.
* Join coordination calls and lead weekly site meetings when needed.
* Utilize project tracking tools and documentation systems to report progress and issues.
* Perform other duties as assigned.## Qualifications

** Position Requirements
**** Formal Education & Certification:
*** Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (Or) completion of a High School Diploma and equivalent telecom construction experience
** Knowledge &
Experience:
*** 8+ years of Telecommunications construction experience, including direct experience with fiber or coax splicing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or project management role.
* Experience managing complex, high-priority, or multi-market deployments, along with scheduling multiple crews and coordinating field logistics.
* Knowledge of underground and aerial utility construction practices.
* Familiar with DOT, OSHA, and industry safety regulations.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools.
