Asbestos & Environmental Services Manager

The Asbestos & Environmental Services Manager will lead the growth, operational performance, and standardization of asbestos and environmental services across High Ground's portfolio of restoration brands. This role serves as a strategic partner to Brand General Managers and operational leaders, helping drive profitable growth, improve operational consistency, establish scalable processes, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple markets.

The ideal candidate combines environmental services expertise with strong operational leadership, financial accountability, and experience building and scaling service-based operations. This individual will serve as both a subject matter expert and business leader, helping brands improve performance while creating sustainable systems, processes, and best practices across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support brands in the growth and execution of asbestos abatement, testing, mold remediation, and environmental services offerings.
  • Partner with Brand General Managers and leadership teams to improve operational performance, service delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Drive revenue growth and margin expansion through improved operational execution, pricing discipline, and performance management.
  • Ensure brand performance is aligned with High Ground operating standards, systems, technologies, and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to manage business outcomes and reduce performance variability.
  • Analyze operational and financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement and corrective action.
  • Support service-line expansion and growth initiatives across the High Ground portfolio.
Sales & Operations Management Competency Development
  • Develop and maintain the High Ground "Asbestos-in-a-Box" operating playbook.
  • Create standardized workflows, operational processes, and best practices across brands.
  • Develop guidance around lead identification, testing protocols, pricing strategies, and sales approaches by market.
  • Establish standard KPI reporting and PowerBI dashboards with leading indicators.
  • Document environmental licensing and regulatory requirements by market.
  • Develop estimating, pricing, approval, and profitability best practices.
  • Aggregate best practices across brands and facilitate knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
  • Partner with Brand Support Partners and leadership teams to support training, coaching, and operational development.
  • Promote the use of standardized technologies, workflows, and field practices to improve productivity and compliance.
  • Develop expertise in DASH, PowerBI, and other operational reporting tools.
Process Improvement & Analysis
  • Analyze operational, financial, and performance data to identify trends, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement scalable SOPs, workflows, accountability systems, and operational standards.
  • Establish reporting systems and dashboards that improve visibility into business performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer experience, profitability, and operational consistency.
  • Leverage data to identify emerging trends that may impact business performance or regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Brand teams to implement process improvements while maintaining local market flexibility.
Strategic Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Brand General Managers, Brand Support Partners, and High Ground leadership.
  • Provide operational and environmental services expertise to support organic and inorganic growth initiatives.
  • Support acquisition integration efforts related to environmental services operations.
  • Provide insight into organizational structure, talent development, recruiting, and retention strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to establish and scale best practices across multiple brands.
  • Act as a liaison between corporate and Brand teams to ensure alignment while respecting local market needs.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to drive adoption of new processes and initiatives.
Leadership & Talent Development
  • Coach, mentor, and develop environmental services leaders across the organization.
  • Build organizational capability through training, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of environmental services personnel.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, customer service, and safety.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to:
    Federal OSHA regulations, State-specific asbestos licensing laws, EPA/NESHAP requirements, Environmental permitting and compliance requirements.
  • Build audit and compliance systems across all operating markets.
  • Support brands in maintaining licenses, certifications, and regulatory compliance.
  • Mitigate liability exposure and operational risk associated with environmental services.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact operations.
