President – Southeast Industrial & Commercial Mechanical Construction | Georgia
Gryphon Oakwood is partnered with a rapidly growing Industrial & Commercial Mechanical Contractor seeking a President based in Georgia to lead and drive performance across its Southeast business operations.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience managing projects valued up to $70M and overseeing operations across Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Millwright, Rigging, Service & Maintenance, and Fire Protection disciplines. Experience leading multiple business units, driving revenue growth, and developing high-performing teams within a construction environment is highly desirable.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 15+ years of experience within industrial and commercial construction, with a strong background in mechanical contracting.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role such as President, Regional President, Vice President of Operations, General Manager, or COO.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale industrial and commercial construction projects valued up to $70M or greater.
- Extensive experience overseeing multi-disciplinary operations across Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Millwright, Rigging, Service & Maintenance, and Fire Protection services.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance.
- Experience developing and executing growth strategies, including business development and market expansion initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices within industrial construction environments.
- Provide executive leadership for all Southeast operations, ensuring alignment with company goals, strategic initiatives, and growth objectives.
- Lead and manage the overall performance of multiple business units, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Millwright, Rigging, Service & Maintenance, and Fire Protection operations.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence across the region.
- Maintain full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and margin improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the successful execution of industrial and commercial construction projects ranging up to $70M+, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to expand market share and strengthen client relationships throughout the Southeast region.
- Partner with business development teams to identify and secure new opportunities within target markets.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing management team while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety requirements, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to support long-term growth initiatives, acquisitions, and organizational development efforts.
- Drive operational efficiencies and implement best practices to improve project delivery, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
