Keystone Human Services, Susquehanna Service Dogs (SSD) is seeking a full-time Partner Services Director to support our mission of working together to serve the community and create an environment where all people are able to grow, make choices, and be valued and contributing members of society.

The Partner Services Director oversees the assistance dog placement process, including interviewing applicants, determining eligibility, managing waiting lists, identifying placement matches, assisting with Team Training, and ensuring follow-up care standards are met. This position collaborates across program departments to develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, their support networks, and volunteers.

Full-time, Exempt position $43,680 per year

Responsibilities

Oversees daily operations of the Partner Services Department to ensure excellent customer service for all partners and compliance with Assistance Dog International (ADI), SSD and other applicable standards. Conducts interviews and meets with applicants throughout the application process to assess their qualifications for receiving an assistance dog. Supports applicants and candidates as they move through the process of receiving an assistance dog by providing regularly scheduled check-ins.

Collaborates with assistance dog training staff to match dogs, creates team training schedules, and oversees logistics of team training. Ensures all partners complete recertification annually, including scheduling and overseeing individual and group testing times. Administers public access evaluations to assess partner compliance. Oversees ongoing follow up support to partners to ensure standards are met and health and wellness is maintained for the person and their dog.

Collaborates with the assistance dog training department to coordinate ongoing training support. Organizes and oversees partner special events. Ensures that all standards of ADI are met or exceeded including documentation and standards for follow-up care. Promotes the use and application of Person-Centered approach.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years’ experience in human services or related field
  • A combination of education and experience that provides the needed skills and knowledge may be considered
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Two years’ experience in the assistance dog industry preferred
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and able to read, interpret and apply written information, as well as public speaking
  • Ability to learn and apply intermediate computer skills, including the use of software and other web-based systems
  • Successful completion of FBI, Child Abuse, and State clearances
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a properly insured/maintained vehicle
