Position Overview

Shaw Industries is seeking a Maintenance Manager to direct the facility’s strategy for continuous improvement in the performance and reliability of all assets/systems. They will provide assistance and guidance to facility management in the areas of continuous improvements, process and cost control, and safety performance. The Maintenance Manager will be focused on efforts to reduce equipment downtime and maintenance cost through utilization of total productive maintenance concepts in association with lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the overall development of a long term reliability strategy
  • Identify and support implementation of innovative solutions to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and drive results of key reliability metrics and processes
  • Drive continuous improvement in each of the key performance indicators for leading and lagging measurements
  • Coordinate continuous improvement opportunities with facilities management based upon data, experience and real time issues
  • Provide direction, leadership, coaching and development for two Maintenance/Reliability Supervisors.
  • Ensure predictive teams, reliability teams, and supporting personnel meets training and development objectives, skills and knowledge targets
  • Implement effective planning and scheduling process to maximize throughput of the processes and efficiency of the reliability teams
  • Effective participant in the RCA process related to reliability failures
  • Maintain peak performance of RP’s equipment in regards to availability, cost of operation, safety and quality through execution of PM/PDM processes
  • Lead the talent assessment and development of responsible maintenance teams
  • Ensure standard work, SOP’s and training documentation is developed, maintained, and effectively used in the training of responsible maintenance teams
  • Maintain strong internal customer relationships
Qualifications
  • 4 year degree or 10 years of maintenance and reliability experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Must have knowledge of and understand key TPM tools and processes
  • Shaw Capital Project Processes
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of machine control systems related to PLC’s, drives, and related components
  • General knowledge of manufacturing plant support equipment such as chillers, compressors, air washers, cooling towers, and power distribution systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers both orally and written
  • Ability to coach and support effectively
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and related process tools
  • Knowledge of best practices for leading effective RPT and EIT teams
