GENERAL
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Sheller Operator will safely handle the responsibility of running the sheller to achieve maximum efficiency and quality.
Some of the responsibilities of the sheller operator include:
- Run the sheller to the maximum capacity while maintaining quality
- Make repairs when breakdowns occur
- Keep downtime reduced to a minimum
- Change decks when needed
- Monitor stoners, shakers, and screens
- Make adjustments to process as needed
- Keep the work area clean at all times
- Check magnets and document on proper check sheets
