Production Team Leader

Overview

• High School diploma or its equivalent required
• $21.35 base rate; increases every 6 months for first 36 months.
• $2.00 Shift Premium on 2nd & a $1.50 Shift Premium for 3rd shift

• Key duties and responsibilities overview:
• Ensure Production Team Members have the proper tools and equipment to perform their jobs
• Ensure that product defects are repaired, minimized and returned to proper location
• Monitor production inventory levels and communicate with material handling
• Utilize all quality tools and support (TQM) total-quality-management within the workplace
• Monitor and inspect incoming material to production line to ensure non-defective
• Recommend disciplinary action for production associates who do not follow company and safety policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum education, skills, and/or experience required:

• High School Diploma or GED minimum requirement
• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to make good decisions and take decisive action in a fast pace environment
• Automotive assembly, JIT, 5’S, Team Building and Lean Practices experience an asset
• Good verbal and written skills
• Able to work OT overtime as needed to meet production. Must be able to change shifts as required
