This hands‑on role is designed to help you build the skills you need to grow into a high‑level operator. You’ll learn how to complete production paperwork with confidence, assist with setting up and tearing down extrusion lines, and package parts exactly the way our customers expect.
You’ll help keep the line running smoothly, ensuring we produce quality parts that meet customer specs. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to make safety your #1 priority by using the proper PPE and following safe work practices every day. - Support setup, operation, and teardown of extrusion lines.
- Work around equipment including extruders, saws, hot dies, pullers, water tanks, fly knives, and pneumatic tools.
- Lift and position 5–15 lb. dies and fill material hoppers (lifting 25 lb. to 6 feet).
- Produce parts according to customer specifications and complete paperwork accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, keeping exits and safety equipment unobstructed.
- Report equipment issues and return tools to proper areas.
- Learn and use PPE and safety procedures.
- Learn measuring tools and complete cross‑training across multiple departments.
- Daily on‑time attendance is mandatory.
- Ability to count and perform basic math.
- Ability to learn measuring tools.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
- No prior extrusion experience required.
Shift work including days, evenings, or nights. Weekend or holiday work may be required.
Work is performed in an unheated, non‑air‑conditioned warehouse environment.
- Walk and stand on concrete floors for 8+ hours.
- Lift 25 lbs. to a height of 6 feet frequently.
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, stair climbing, and use of manual dexterity.
