About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive Materials Supervisor to lead our planning, inventory, and material flow operations at our Lavonia facility.

This is a floor-connected leadership role
—ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes initiative, and isn’t afraid to step in and solve problems in real time. You’ll oversee a team while ensuring materials move efficiently from purchase order through production and shipment.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee end-to-end material flow from purchasing through production and shipping
  • Lead and develop a team across planning, inventory, and receiving functions
  • Ensure uninterrupted material supply to support production schedules
  • Monitor and balance inventory levels to avoid shortages and overproduction
  • Oversee MRP, forecasting, and production planning activities
  • Partner with Production to align schedules and capacity planning
  • Support supplier management, issue resolution, and performance tracking
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and eliminate inefficiencies
  • Promote lean manufacturing practices (Kanban, pull systems, etc.)
  • Step in to support team workload and maintain daily operations as needed
What We’re Looking For Must-Haves
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in manufacturing supply chain, materials, or production planning
  • Proven leadership or team lead experience
  • Strong understanding of material flow, inventory control, and MRP
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced plant environment
Preferred
  • B.S. Degree (Materials, Supply chain or similar fields preferred)
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems (SAP, etc.)
  • Forecasting and/or master scheduling experience
  • Exposure to supplier negotiation or vendor management
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
