Location: Spring Valley Estates

Manufacturing Operator (Multiple Openings) – Athens, GA

We are searching for a Manufacturing Operator to be in Athens, GA.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, and/or medical devices.
  • Operate equipment for assembly and processing tasks to produce finished products according to established specifications and standard operating procedures.
  • Set up, operate, and clean production equipment used to produce intermediate or finished products for active pharmaceutical ingredients, medical device raw material components, or other products as directed.
  • Follow and accurately complete batch records/logs, SAP transactions, and other documentation to ensure compliance with cGMP and SOPs.
  • Operate dryers, centrifuges, mills, reactors, water systems, DCS and PLC control systems; respond to alarms and interlocks.
  • Transport materials of varying weight using material handling equipment per safety guidelines.
  • Perform area safety inspections to identify hazards and report findings following company protocols.
  • Maintain quality, safety, and environmental matters by wearing PPE, managing housekeeping, and properly labeling and storing chemicals.
  • Complete process sampling requirements according to applicable schedules and techniques.
  • Monitor personal and peer behaviors, work environment, and housekeeping for safety compliance.
  • Handle controlled substances in compliance with applicable state and local law and company requirements.
  • Ensure products are manufactured correctly and remove defects as required.
  • Compile records and reports on quality inspection results.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment such as dryers, centrifuges, and DCS/PLC controls.
  • Participate in site investigative teams and safety assessments (VSAs, PSSRs, PHAs); correct findings.
  • Support the Environmental Management System and partner with the Quality Department to modify procedures and batch logs.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and maintaining audit readiness.
  • Continuously seek ways to simplify or improve products, services, systems, and processes.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a related regulated manufacturing industry; must read, write, and understand basic English, have basic math skills, effective communication, and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Experience: Minimum of 6 months work experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or cGMP environment; operating skills of manufacturing equipment, tools, hand/forklift trucks; knowledge of DCS and SAP systems; basic PC navigation skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, and handling objects regularly.
  • Ability to work from ladders or platforms up to 30 feet and lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Required vision: close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Must qualify for respiratory protective equipment use.
  • Exposed to extreme heat and cold outdoors.
  • Ability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts, including days and/or nights.
