The Inspector in the Cook Plant is responsible for ensuring that all cooked products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting thorough inspections of processes and finished products, identifying discrepancies, and working collaboratively with production teams to maintain high-quality outputs. The Inspector plays a critical role in upholding safety, quality, and efficiency in the cooking processes.
Position Responsibilities- Conduct regular inspections of products, cooking equipment and processes.
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and other critical control points to ensure product integrity.
- Document inspection results, noting any non-conformances or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with production staff to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct audits of production processes and equipment to ensure adherence to operational guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and reports for regulatory compliance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to food safety and quality control.

- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
- Previous experience in food production or a related field.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual inspections in a production environment.
- Must be able to follow directions and perform manual labor.
- Able to walk and stand, use arms and legs for long periods of time including wrist turning and finger manipulation.
- Employee stands frequently with tasks requiring consistent bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling to complete; lift, carry and push/pull occasionally of up to 50 pounds is required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extreme temperature conditions.
- Job locations can be consistently 40 degrees or below.
- The noise levels at work are moderate to loud and hearing protection is required.
